Some bulk materials can create static energy during filling and discharging, this fact may cause an electrostatic discharge in the bag or on its surface. If there is a flammable dust or gas present within the atmosphere during the filling and discharging process, there is a risk of fire or explosion. To prevent this hazard, a groundable FIBC is the ideal solution. Groundable FIBCs are also classified as Type C bags.
